A confident display for Olympiacos against Peristeri bwin, coached by team legend coach Vassilis Spanoulis

In control behind a double-digit advantage for most of the 40 minutes in Iraklio, Olympiacos defeated Peristeri bwin and progressed to the Semifinals of Greece’s Final 8 OPAP.

The Reds secured a win, 87-68, in the quarterfinal matchup opposite the team guided by Vassilis Spanoulis on Friday.

In a seventh consecutive win across all competitions for Olympiacos and head coach Giorgos Bartzokas, team captain Kostas Papanikolaou shared a game-high 15 points with Giannoulis Larentzakis. Moses Wright registered 14 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks. Facing his brother Elijah Mitrou-Long, Naz Mitrou-Long added 12 points.

Nigel Williams-Goss was limited to 42 seconds before exiting with an injury and being scheduled for an MRI. Nikola Milutinov (foot surgery) was sidelined along with unregistered Ignas Brazdeikis, Luke Sikma, and Shaquielle McKissic. Michalis Lountzis and Giorgos Tanoulis did not play.

For the losing side, Joe Ragland scored a team-high 14 points. Kenny Williams and Jermaine Love finished with ten points each.

The reigning champions in Greece’s Stoiximan Basket League and Cup, meet Promitheas in the Semifinals tomorrow, Saturday. Archrival Panathinaikos Aktor taking on Aris Midea was set on the opposite end of the bracket on Thursday.

Closing the Quarterfinals, the Patras outfit made short work of Panionios, 88-48. Cameron Reynolds banked in 5/8 field goals, including 4/6 from beyond the arc en route to a game-high 16 points. Athanasios Bazinas and Hunter Hale had 13 points each.

Wrapping up the eight-team tournament, the next Cup winner will be decided on Sunday.
