Just like in the first game of the EuroLeague season, Olympiacos surprised Panathinaikos in their eternal rivals’ home by snapping a victory on the road in Game 1 of the Greek Basket League Finals, winning 87-84 in OAKA.

Nikola Milutinov dominated at the rim by ending with a winning double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds, followed by Thomas Walkup’s 17 points (7/7 at the line) and 5 assists in giving the red-and-white side the victory to start the series on the upper hand.

Coming off the bench, Nigel Williams-Goss added 16 points. The red-and-white side’s captain Kostas Papanikolaou finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Kendrick Nunn didn’t live the best night shooting from the field, as he ended with 8/20 in attempts both inside and outside of the area. The former Miami Heat player had a 21-point losing effort, followed by Mathias Lessort’s 14 points and 8 rebounds.

Kostas Sloukas fired up only in the latest minutes of the encounter and finished with 16 points and 5 assists over 5/7 from three-point range against his former team. Dinos Mitoglou finished with 8 points and 10 rebounds.
