The Greek basketball Federation sent an ultimatum to AEK in which the club is warned that it shouldn’t participate in any other competition apart from the FIBA Champions League.
In the letter, the federation calls AEK to back down from its agreement to play in Eurocup and make the choice to participate in the Champions League until Wednesday! Otherwise the club will be disqualified from all domestic competitions, or the consequences will also affect the Greek national team.
However the owner of the club, Makis Aggelopoulos (photo), has already stated in every tone that he is not willing to back down from his decision to compete in Eurocup.
