Panathinaikos beat Kolossos Rhodes 82 – 73 on the road thanks to an excellent defensive effort in the second half.
The two teams were tied 46 – 46 at halftime, but the Greens came out blazing from the locker rooms, taking a double-digit lead 58 – 48 in only three minutes.
With Mike James (19 points) and Nick Calathes (11 points, 5 assists) running the show, Kenny Gabriel (12 points) and Chris Singleton (12 points) adding their piece, Panathinaikos improved its record to 18 – 1 and remains on the hunt of the first place, behind Olympiacos.
Koloss Rhodes remains fifth at 10 – 9 record. Juvonte Reddic had 14 points while Chris Saloustros, Earl Watson and Langston Hall scored 12 apiece for the hosts of the match.
