It was a comfortable afternoon for Panathinaikos at home against Trikala. The Greens overpowered their opponents more than easily with a 93 – 63 victory and a certain Kenny Gabriel spitting fire from downtown.
The American power forward finished with 22 points (6/9 3-pointers) plus 6 rebounds in 19 minutes and together with James Feldeine (16 points) and Nikos Pappas (14 points) led the charge of their team that completed the match with 16/34 from the perimeter.
For Trikala (that are 10th at a 9 – 15 record) that couldn’t cope with the superior quality of their opponents, Kelsey Barlow had 15 points and Angelos Tsagkarakis 13 along with 5 assists.
The Greens improved their record to 23 – 1 same as Olympiacos that made short work of PAOK on Sunday. However the Reds are first in the standings since they own the tiebreaker against their arch-rivals.
