The game between Aiolos Tavros and Ionikos Nea Philadelphia for the Greek minor A’ ESKA division was the last for Aiolos athlete Vassilis Georgaros, 18.
In the fourth quarter of the match, Georgaros asked to be substituted after feeling unwell. He lost his consciousness while on the bench with the people of the team tried to bring him around.
The ambulance arrived to the gym quickly but during his transfer to the hospital, his situation worsened and then doctors were unable to revive him.
