The Yellow and Blacks reached a 71-70 against Panathinaikos in Game 2 of the Greek league semifinals.
Xavi Pascual’s team led the first period 17-22, even though AEK begun the game with an initial 5-0. The Greens even found a double-digit lead at 17′ with 27-37 and stayed up 37-44 at halftime.
An 11-0 run by the -typically- hosts was enough to shock Panathinaikos in the second half, yet the score was close after 30′, at 56-57.
AEK stood strong even when Panathinaikos trimmed the deficit that had started to expand in the final period and tied the series to 1-1 after 9 years.
Milan Milosevic led the winners with 14 points, Dimitris Mavroeidis and Dussan Sakota added 12 each.
