Trikala officially announced that Greek guard Michalis Lountzis will part of the team for the 2017/2018 season.
Lountzis, 19, belongs to Panathinaikos that decided to send the player on loan to Trikala in order to receive some valuable playing time that it wouldn’t be possible to find with the Greens.
A two-time golden medalist (2015 U18 European Championship, 2017 U20 European Championship) with the Greek national team youth squads, Lountzis signed with Panathinaikos in 2014. He made his EuroLeague debut at 16 years of age, spending 12 minutes on the floor during a playoffs game vs CSKA Moscow.
