Olympiacos blew out Larissas Faros 67-97 and got the ticket to the Greek Cup semifinals. Even though the home team was competitive in the first quarter (25-28) they could not keep up with Olympiacos‘ pace on the offensive side of the court and so Olympiacos eventually got the victory. Olympiacos‘ players were impressive on offense as they scored 97 points and also shot the ball well from the field (14/23).
Janis Strelnieks was really good for coach Sfairopoulos as he finished with 16 points (4/4 from beyond the arc). Hollis Thompson added 14. Olympiacos will now have three days to prepare for the tough game on Saturday vs. Panathinaikos for the first game of the Basket League.
On the other quarterfinal, AEK defeated Rethymno 92-67 and advanced to the semifinals. Kelsey Barlow was the top scorer for AEK with his 16 points.
