After no less than 50 (!) minutes, Panathinaikos defeated Lavrio 120 – 118 to stay the only unbeaten team in the Greek Basketball League.
It was a spectacular clash between the two top-seeded teams in the standings and in the end, the Greens had more stamina and quality to overcome their opponents.
Nikos Pappas scored a team-high 24 points and Nick Calathes finished with 21 points and 10 assists for Panathinaikos. From Lavrio, Mackenzie Moore had a stunning performance of 30 points, 7 assists and four rebounds.
On Sunday (21/1), Olympiacos downed Promitheas Patras behind some pretty performances by Vassilis Spanoulis and Kyle Wiltjer. Generally, most of the underdogs had their way this Week in the Greek League.
