Despite playing minus captain Vassilis Spanoulis and Giorgos Printezis for resting reasons, Olympiacos had absolutely no problem crushing Koroivos Amaliada 104 – 54 on the road, for Round 20 of the Greek League regular season.
Bobby Brown had his best performance since he arrived in the Reds with a season-high 20 points (5/9 3-pointers) in 23 minutes. Vangelis Matnzaris also notched a career-best with Olympiacos, after posting 20 points plus 5 assists and 4 rebounds while Nikola Milutinov scored 12 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Brian Roberts finished the game with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Shaquille Hines (17 points, 5 rebounds) and Kevin Langford (14 points) stood out from Koroivos.
Over the weekend, Panathinaikos extended its undefeated streak by routing Trikala on the road thanks to Thanasis Antetokounmpo. AEK defeated Lavrio while Aris Thessaloniki got a potentially key win over Promitheas Patras.
There was also a quite tense brawl in Kymi – Panionios which resulted in two ejections.
