One week before the launch of EuroLeague playoff series against Zalgiris Kaunas, Olympiacos defeated Lavrio 84 – 68 on the road for Round 22 of the Greek League, despite the absence of Giorgos Printezis.
Ioannis Papapetrou posted a double-double for Reds by scoring a season-high 19 points and grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds. Nikola Milutinov added 12 points and Bobby Brown 11.
McKenzie Moore and Andrew Wiggins were the only Lavrio player in double-figures with 13 and 12 points respectively.
Olympiacos head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos had forward Kostas Papanikolaou returning to action in this match after a one-month absence but saw guard Janis Strelnieks exiting the game due to a disturbance on his lower back. The Latvian player was transferred to the hospital for examinations after spending 4:31 on the court.
This game concluded Round 22 in the Greek League. Panathinaikos remained the only unscathed team after routing Rethymno in Crete while PAOK delivered a major upset by beating Basketball Champions League Final Four host AEK on the road behind 19 points plus 5 assists by Phil Goss.
