With the trio of Vince Hunter, Mike Green and Giannoulis Larentzakis doing work, AEK beat Faros Larissa 86 – 75 on the road and made a decisive step on finishing the Greek League regular season at the third spot.
Hunter completed the game with 18 points and five rebounds while Green notched 15 points plus six assists. Larentzakis provided a diverse contribution of 11 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Steven Burtt JR’s third 28+ plus performance (28 points, 6/8 2s, 4/8 3s) in the five matches he’s played with Faros, wasn’t enough for the team from Larissa.
Led by Ivan Maras (18 points, 12 rebounds), Aris Thessaloniki took a key 83 – 64 road win over Trikala that allowed them to climb two wins above the relegation zone.
In Kymi, the local team locked a playoff spot by defeating Rethymno 82 – 76 behind 22 points by Angelos Tsangkarakis.
