The 2017-2018 season comes to an abrupt end for Kim Tillie.

Olympiacos forward Kim Tillie will undergo an arthroscopic surgery on his left knee and will miss the remainder of the season.

The initial plan for the French player was to be operated on summer, however, the discomfort he’s been feeling on his knee for quite some time became more intense lately. Thus a decision was taken to be operated now. The procedure and subsequent recovery time will keep him out for six to eight weeks.

Tillie had also missed the first five months of the season, due to a detached tendon injury he suffered in the warmup of his team’s EuroLeague premiere vs. Baskonia.

The absence of the 29-year-old player further weakens the already injury-plagued frontline of Olympiacos ahead of the Greek League playoffs. Apart from forward Dimitris Agravanis who’s ruled out for the season, center Nikola Milutinov will be sidelined for 25 days with a muscle strain, while forward Giorgos Printezis is also out due to a persistent problem he had following a calluses removal surgery.

With Tillie out, the most probable scenario for Olympiacos is the return of Canadian forward Kyle Wiltjer in the Greek League roster.
