After Olympiacos’ request for the resignation of the Greek central refereeing committee, which came as a result of certain referees’ exclusion from the possibility of officiating in the Greek League finals, the saga continues with a letter issued to the Greek Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras.
Through the said letter, Panagiotis and Giorgos Aggelopoulos request Tsipras to interfere in regards to the ban of these referees. They also add that the finals should be postponed or played with non-Greek referees like it happened in the recent football Greek Cup final.
It is to be noted that the Greek Central Committee Refereeing president Stelios Simeonidis issued a statement regarding his detainment on Wednesday, after being sued by EuroLeague referees Spyros Gondas and Ioannis Foufis.
