Six Panathinaikos OPAP players were struck with gastroenteritis a day before the team’s next Basket League game.

Ahead of Panathinaikos away game with Kolossos Rhodes, five players are at the hospital and one more is at home with gastroenteritis. Nick Calathes, James Gist, Ian Vougioukas, Konstantinos Mitoglou and DeShaun Thomas are the ones hospitalized, while Stephane Lasme remained home. None of the above players will travel to Rhodes for the Round 7 Basket League match.

The remaining, Keith Langford, George Papagiannis, Evangelos Sakellariou, Ioannis Papapetrou, Nikos Pappas, Lukas Lekavicius, Matt Lojeski and Thanasis Antetokoumpo have to cover their teammates’ absences. Some players from the junior team will also be in Xavi Pascual’s squad.
