AEK Athens announced the addition of Gabe York. The American guard signed a contract for the remainder of the 2018-2019 season.
York last played with the Lakeland Magic (Orlando’s affiliate) in the G-League. In 41 games, he averaged ‘16.1 points and 3.7 assists.
During the 2017-2018 season, York played in the Basketball Champions League with German club medi Bayreuth averaging 16.9 points and 2.5 assists in 18 games. The 25-year-old player actually faced AEK twice in the BCL regular season, scoring 22 in a win of his team in Germany and 18 points on the road vs. the Greek side.
