AEK confirmed its agreement with Trevor Mbakwe on Thursday noting that the 30-year-old American big signed for the rest of the 2018-19 season. Luca Banchi’s new player will help out until the end of the Greek Basket League campaign.
Mbakwe started the 2018-19 season in Germany with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg averaging 5.5 points and 5.5 rebounds in four Basketball Champions League games before moving to Japan. He aslo had 9.2 points and 7.2 boards per easyCredit BBL match.
In the 2015-16 season he played in EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv, also has five EuroCup campaigns under his belt from 2013 until his appearance in the 2017-18 season with Fiat Turin.
