In less than 24 hours after yesterday’s mess, things became even more complicated in the Greek league. The high council for the solution of athletic disputes – the highest sports court in Greece – announced that they will decide on Monday if Olympiacos’ complain is valid and the final round of the regular season on the grounds that all referees assignments were illegal, should be voided.

Meanwhile, the league announced the schedule of the playoffs which includes three games on Saturday (Promitheas – PAOK, Peristeri – Ifaistos, AEK – Holargos), while the game between Panathinaikos and Olympiacos should be played on Monday at 19.00. The court verdict is expected on the same day at 12.00.

Olympiacos once more reacted and made a second protest to the high council today, asking to void the decision of the league to confirm the final standings. The Reds also issued a press release according to which the law consultant of the league and the president of the league had announced on the 15th of May during the general assembly that the final standings couldn’t be confirmed until the final verdict of the high council.

It remains to be seen what will happen on Monday and what Olympiacos will do since the team had announced that they will not play any Greek league against Panathinaikos unless foreign referees are assigned to call the game, a demand that was refused by the league.
