Peristeri had a 67-63 lead midway through the fourth quarter but Panathinaikos took over from that moment onward eventually recording an 82-75 road win to sweep the series 3-0 and advance to the Greek League Finals.
Matt Lojeski shot 5-8 for three and banked 22 points for the victors followed by Ioannis Papapetrou and Nick Calathes’ 11 points each. The latter also dished ten assists.
On the other side, Ben Bentil scored 21 points and grabbed 11 boards in addition to Steven Gray’s 11 points.
Their opponent in the Finals will be the winner of the matchup between AEK and Peristeri in which the former took the 2-1 lead after winning 88-60 at home earlier today (3/6).
Gabe York shot 5-8 from deep on his way to game-high 23 points while Vince Hunter added 16 and Dusan Sakota 11 points.
For Promitheas, Michalis Tsairelis scored 13 in addition to Langston Hall and Christos Saloustros’ 11 points each.
Game 4 will be played on June 5 and Promitheas will have the home court advantage as they try to stay alive in the series.
