Peristeri took the lead in the third-place series of the Greek League by beating AEK Athens 67-66 in Game 1.
AEK’s elimination from the finals took a toll on the team and if we bear in mind the absences of Hunter (who skipped the morning practice as coach Luca Banchi mentioned in the post-game press conference), Sant-Ross and Larentzakis, the outcome of the game is not too surprising.
Delroy James led the hosts with 13 points, while Gabe York added 10 points.
Peristeri’s Gaios Skordilis posted a game-high performance of 15 points.
Game 2 of the series will take place on June 11th.
