Panathinaikos broke Aris’ resistance in the third quarter and logged a 108-86 home win on Day 5 of the Greek League. They stayed perfect with a 5-0 record while Aris stayed at one win (1-4).
Jimmer Fredette led the way with 21 points (4-4 triples) while Wesley Johnson added 15 and Dinos Mitoglou 13 points.
For Aris, Martynas Gecevicius nailed game-high 23 points followed by Gary Talton’s 18 and Vladimir Dragicevic’s 14 points.
After a balanced first quarter (25-25), Panathinaikos went scored ten straight points (35-25) and went on the halftime rest with 50-44 lead. They stepped up in the third quarter increasing the gap to 19 points (81-62) and secured the game in the fourth quarter.
