Olympiacos has returned to the Euroleague Final Four after a while and will face off against the reigning champions Anadolu Efes. Quincy Acy will participate for the first time in the tournament and he believes the Greek team could write out a great story.
“This could be a storybook season. We’ll see. I think we’ve prepared, we have a lot of great talent, we’ve got great fans, we’re well-coached and we just all get along really well. Our team chemistry has taken us this far. We just add the attention to detail and giving it our all, and we’ve got the formula to get a championship,” Acy told Eurohoops’ Aris Barkas.
He also talked about his role and, although he doesn’t consider himself a ‘secret weapon’ of coach Georgios Bartzokas, he will give it his all if the opportunity arises.
“No, man. At this point, it’s gonna be tough to just get out there and compete at a high level. But I work my butt off and I’m always ready. If the opportunity comes, I’ll be ready. If not, I’m happy that our team won and I have nothing to complain about at all.”
Take a look at the full interview as Acy discussed European experiences, fans, family, stereotypes about American players, Olympiacos and his role on the team, Euroleague Final Four, and more.
