Belgrade – Young talent leaving Europe for the NBA is not a novelty. Long before the Luka Doncic phenomenon, Sasa Pavlovic after just two games in the EuroLeague with Buducnost left for the States before turning 20.
He was drafted by the Utah Jazz and played there for one season, before spending five years in Cleveland together with LeBron James.
“The NBA shifted by one position, there are no more centers“, said Pavlovic to Eurohoops comparing his NBA era with the current style of play in the States.
And of course, the discussion had to involve LeBron James: “Going to the Lakers is a great move for LeBron and the NBA. When you have LeBron on the team there’s always a chance to make it to the playoffs. In my opinion, he is the best player of the West and Kyrie Irving is the best player in the East. The Celtics have the best team in the East“.
Here’s what he had to say about the NBA, himself, his return to Europe and his future plans.
