Derrick Williams was one of the best EuroLeague off-season signings in 2018. Throughout the 16 EuroLeague games he has played, his athleticism, explosiveness, overall skill-set, and NBA experience has helped him excel in Europe’s best competition. Let’s not forget, after all, that he was the second overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft.
In a recent interview with Eurohoops, the 27-year old star talked about his transition to European basketball and the high level of the EuroLeague, explained that he always expects more from himself, but also shared what’s it like playing next to a generational talent and all-time great player, in LeBron James. Besides, according to Williams, the ‘King’ is the greatest to ever play the game of basketball.
At the start of the season, Derrick Williams had signed a one-year deal with FC Bayern Munich, which means that at the end of the season, he will be a free agent, and could potentially be heading back to the world’s greatest basketball competition, the NBA. The American forward, however, doesn’t think about free agency as of now, as he is only focused on succeeding this year with Bayern.
