Vasilije Micic has been one of the best offseason Turkish Airlines EuroLeague signings. The Serbian guard is leading Anadolu Efes to a 13-8 record, which has placed the team at the fourth seed in the standings. The 25-year-old player is having the best season of his career, as he is turning into a premier guard in the competition. After all, he is averaging a career-best 12.1 points (54.1% 2FG) (43% 3FG) (75.7% FT), 5.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds per game.
In a recent interview with Eurohoops, Micic talked about his years in Germany, playing for Bayern, and the huge importance of last season with Zalgiris Kaunas for his career. He also commented on Anadolu Efes possibly advancing to the EuroLeague Final Four and ending Fenerbahce’s dynasty in the Turkish League. In addition, the Philadelphia 76ers stashed guard also discussed the chances of making the NBA this summer.
Finally, Micic also talked about the Serbian national team and the upcoming World Cup. As he says, most of the players will be in their prime years, and if Serbia plays together as a whole, good things could happen.
