Coming from the States, in his first season in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague competition, Jordan Mickey has been one of the most successful offseason signings. The 24-year-old big man is averaging 14.5 points and 5.3 rebounds a game. In the absence of Alexey Shved, he’s the one leading Khimki Moscow Region’s efforts (9-14 record) to make the playoffs.

In a recent interview with Eurohoops in OAKA, prior to Khimki’s loss against Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Mickey discussed the playoff race, stating that his team will be there come April. He also commented on the firing of coach Georgios Bartzokas plus Luka Doncic’s recent remarks regarding scoring in Europe and the NBA.

Mickey also discussed adapting to a different country. As he says, it was pretty tough.

Last summer, Mickey signed a one-year deal with Khimki and thus will be a free agent at the end of the season. After being asked by Eurohoops on what will be his first priority this upcoming summer, the American forward stated that his only focus right now is his current team, Khimki.
