Olympiacos prevailed easily over Aris (79-62) and won the semifinals series (3-1). The Reds will face Panathinaikos in the finals that start on Sunday at SEF.
The first half was quite similar with the third game when Aris managed to upset Olympiacos. However, his time the leading scorer of the Greek league, Aleksander Vezenkov had a bad shooting night (5 points with 1/10 shots) and Aris couldn’t keep up with Olympiacos in the second half. Only Tsiaras (15 p) and Reed (10p) scored in double digits for the hosts.
Olympiacos made twice a 10-0 run in the second half and established a double digit lead until the end of the game. Spanoulis came back with 14 points and Lojeski was also hot with 13 points (11 of them in the first 15’). The captain of the Reds dished 7 assists and became the all time assists leader in Olympiacos’ history surpassing current assistant coach Milan Tomic.
