Bayern beat Alba on the road (101-96) after overtime in Game 5 and qualified to the finals! The German champs will face Brose Baskets in the finals. 30 points were scored by Djedovic!
In every single game of the series the hosts prevailed but in the fifth match, Bayern got the upset by beating Alba in the overtime after a thriller and one of the best games of this season in Europe.
Nihad Djedovic was great with 30 points (6/9 threes, 5 assists and 4 steals) but he had also many players next to him in excellent shooting night (Stimac 14p, Schaffartzik 13p, Taylor 13p, Savanovic 12p, Bryant 12p), while Bayern was shooting 50% beyond the arc (14/28).Bwhile Svetislav Pesic was in the locker lockers during the last minutes after the two technical fouls he was drawn by the referees.
Moreover, Bayern didn’t lose its focus, despite the ejection of coach Svetislav Pesic who spend the last minutes of the game in the locker lockers after getting two technical fouls.
Alba fought hard to win this game having Jamel McLean in a brilliant night. He was close to an incredible triple double with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists being the leading scorer, rebounder and passer of his team.
