The dominance of Zalgiris Kaunas in the Lithuanian LKL league continues. With a 85-77 road win the legendery club of Kaunas concluded a 4-0 sweep, got its 5th championship in a row and the 17th in total.
Arturas Milaknis had 17 points (3/6 3p.), Will Cherry added 16 (4/6 3p.) and James Anderson concluded his first great European season with 11 points. Before the game Zalgiris vice-president Ginas Rutkauskas confirmed that Anderson is on the radar of many other European clubs and he is expected to leave Lithuania.
Lietuvos Rytas under Argentinian coach Marcelo Nicola couldn’t do much damage against its arch-rival, which had in its coaching stuff a European legend as an assistant coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius.
