It was a 45 minutes fight and in the end it was decided on the last shot. With a three pointer, 2 seconds before the final buzzer Sergio Llull gave the 103-100 overtime win (88-88) to Real Madrid at Valencia.
Felipe Reyes with 21 points and Rudy Fernandez with 20 were the top scorers of the winners, however Llull with 12 points was the man of the moment. Once again Valencia played without injured Pau Ribas and Kresimir Loncar, Luke Harangody had 21 points and young guard Guillermo Vives 17, but they couldn’t smile at the end, while Harangody lost the chance to make the winning basket in regulation after two made free throws by Reyes. To be exact Harangody made it, but the clock beat him, but the 24 seconds for Valencia’s attack had expired.
Real Madrid can smile because they have now a 2-1 lead in the Liga Endesa semifinals series and the team that won Game 3 in 22 similar occasions in the past, also prevailed in the end of the series.
