Regio Emilia is one step in front of Sassari in the race of the Italian playoffs after its victory in the first game at home (82-63).
Achile Polonara made an excellent game with 18 points (3/7 2ps, 3/8 3ps) and 12 rebounds and led Regio Emilia to 1-0 in the Italian finals. The hosts had in great night also their Lithuanian veterans, while Rimantas Kaukenas had 13 points and Darius Lavrinovic 12.
Dinamo Sassari couldn’t overcome the bad second quarter (29-14 partial score) and after was always back with double digit margin. Rakim Sanders was the best among the visitors (19 points and 7 rebounds).
