Jerome Dyson scored 28 points, had 7 assists but missed the last shot in regulation, which could have given the win to Sassari. Still the hosts after overtime edged Reggio Emilia and got the close 94-90 win as they tied the Legabasket finals at 2-2.
Reggio Emilia made a great come back in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter from 78-69 to 80-80, despite having Rimantas Kaukenas fouled out after 21 minutes of action. Reggio made it also a one point game in the closing seconds of overtime (91-90), but Sassari sealed the win from the free throws line after being rewarded a un-sportsmanlike foul.
That been said, it was a game that included its share of disputed calls, made by probably the most known Italian referee, Luigi Lamonica.
