In a crazy game of runs which finally was decided on the last play, Sassari got the 75-73 win on the road over Reggio Emilia in Game 7 of the Legabasket finals.
The team of coach Romeo Sachetti thanks to the cold blood of Jerome Dyson (17 p.) and David Logan (13 p.) came from behind and survived until the end. Reggio Emilia started the game with a 21-4 first quarter, but couldn’t keep up until the end. With 10 seconds on the clock and the chance to tie the game or win it, Reggio couldn’t make a decent last shot.
Rakim Sanders had 18 points for the winners and was the MVP of the series, while Achille Polonara had a double double (17 p., 14 r.) for the hosts. Dyson with two free throws decided the outcome.
