Jason Kapono made his debut with Panathinaikos on Wednesday night in a 75-61 home win against Panionios for the Greek league. After this result his team has a 8-2 record in 10 gamedays and shares the second place of the standings with Panionios and PAOK behind undefeated champion Olympiacos.
Kapono was used for 12,5 minutes he scored 5 points (1/3 2p., 1/2 3p.) and also 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 rebound and 1 turnover. Not bad for a first game after just a week of practices in a completely new environment. As he said: “I will still need help. They are still explaining me the rules differences in Europe, for example travelling. However I think that I will not have any big adaptation problems”.
