Nymburk, Lokomotiv Kuban, Unics Kazan and Crvena Zvezda are the big winners of the 1st gameday in Eurocup’s Last16 after prevailing on the road and that can already be the foundation of the qualification to quarterfinals

The 1st gameday of Eurocup’s Last16 ended with four teams winning on the road. In the last game of the night Nymburk managed to beat Bilbao 85-83, Lokomotiv Kuban won the Russian duel against Spartak in St. Petersburg (84-70), Unics Kazan got the win in Istanbul against Galatasaray (80-74) and Crvena Zvezda prevailed in Germany against Ulm (100-95) with Igor Rakocevic (photo) scoring 32 points. Those four teams have already a small qualification advantage to the quarterfinals. Contrary to the new Euroleague format, the teams of Eurocup’s Last16 are devided into four groups of four teams and the qualification to the next phase is decided in just six games.
