Three more cup winners were decided this past weekend in Europe, with local powerhouse Union Olimpija winning the trophy in Slovenia, Nymburk doing the same in Czech Republic and Sopot prevailing in Poland

Three more domestic cup finals were held the last few days. To be exact on Friday night Nymburk got the 87-83 win over BK JIP Pardubice and conquered the Czech Republic’s cup of 2013. Baylor alumni Tweety Carter sunk the game’s most crucial free throws with the score being tied 83-83.

The Czechs used a final eight format, as also did the Slovenians with Union Olimpija (photo) beating Helios Domzale in Sunday’s final (73-61) and winning the cup. Dino Muric with 16 points was the ΜVP of the game. In Poland, Sopot also on Sunday beat Koszalin 64-59 and got its domestic cup.
