Khimki finished on the top

Khimki prevailed over Krasnye Krylia in the last game of VTB’s regular season by a point (82-81) thanks to a three points shot by Petteri Koponen. After this result Khimki finished on top of the standings in group A with Unics Kazan being second, despite having the same record (14-4). In group B Zalgiris Kaunas (16-2) and CSKA Moscow (15-3) are the two best teams. According to the competition format those four teams will play in the second round of the play offs, while the teams between third and sixth place will compete in the first round.

The play offs couples are the following: Krasnye Krylia – Triumph, VEF Riga – Astana, Lokomotiv – Donetsk, Spartak St. P. – Nizhny Novgorod. The qualification will be decided in best of three series with the games starting in May.
