The season ended in Baltic league with Latvian club Ventspils getting the trophy against the Lithuanians of Prienai. Ventspils have won the first game on the road (91-69) and despite losing at home (73-70) the point difference was enough in order to get the title.
This season Zalgiris Kaunas and Lietuvos Rytas weren’t a part of the league and the road was open for a new champion. Also, Kalen Talin of Estonia beat Barons of Latvia by 15 points in their second encounter and took the third place of the informal final four (73-58, 89-81).
