There was no sweep on Wednesday. Anadolu Efes and Caja Laboral forced a game 4 against Olympiacos and CSKA Moscow respectively, getting their first play offs win in the Euroleague quarterfinals,

  • Anadolu Efes had its best game so far in the play offs, while Olympiacos wasn’t efficient in defense and Vasilis Spanoulis had a bad night with 4 points, 8 assists, but also 5 turnovers. The final score was 83-72 for the host team, however Olympiacos still has the advantage with 2-1 wins. Jordan Farmar had 17 points, Semih Erden and Dusko Savanovic (photo) had 15 points each and Efes had the lead for the bulk of the game. Still the Reds managed to cut the lead to 71-64 three minutes before the end, but that was the best they could do.
  • Thomas Heurtel with 21 points and Nemanja Bjelica with a huge first half (13 p., 7 r.) led Caja Laboral in a 93-72 win over CSKA Moscow. The Russians were the big favorite for a sweep, but the Basques were unstoppable in the second (28-10) and the third quarter (27-15). The three pointers made all the difference with the hosts having 15/26 shots (57%) against 7/25 (28%) for CSKA.
