The Slovenian championship ended with Krka beating once more Union Olimpja in the finals (2-1) and getting the trophy for the fourth year in a row. Veteran Matjaz Smodis was the MVP of the finals, scoring 21 points on 8/10 FG in the 71-67 road win over Olimpja that decided the title. A legend of European basketball and a Euroleague champion with Kinder Bologna and CSKA Moscow, Smodis announced his retirement.

There is also a champion in Estonia, as Kalev Talin didn’t have any competition and with a 4-0 sweep got the title over Tartu Rock for the third straight season. Kalev had a total 10-0 record in the post season.
