Sergey Bazarevich will join Trabzonspor in the head coach position. The 51-year old Russian coached Cantu in Italian Serie A the previous season.
Bazarevich has also coached Lokomotiv during the 2014-15 season in VTB league, with which he made it to the semifinals of that season. This year, he took charge over the Russian Senior National Team and in 2008 he’s also been the head coach of the U20 Russian national team.
In his long career, he’s been in NBA (with Atlanta Hawks), Greece (with PAOK), Italy (with Gorizia, Trieste and Cantu), Russia (with CSKA, Dynamo Moscow, St. Petersburg Lions, Krylia and Lokomotiv), Turkey (with Yildirim, Tofas and Turk Telekom) and Spain (Caceres).
