Real Madrid started the game by leading 31-21 after the start of the second quarter, but a brawl between Victor Sada and Jaycee Carroll who got the American of Real ejected was the turning point. The lead of Real was just two points (46-44) in the half time and anything was possible. However the team of Pablo Lasso kept its calm, they lost only momenteraly the lead in the third quarter and finally with two free throws by Mirotic sealed the 83-79 win.

Before the final, in the three point contest 16 years old American Josh Ruggles got the title by beating Carroll in the final and proving himself as one of the best shooters in the world.
