In his first official game as the coach of Fenerbahce/ Ulker Zeljko Obradovic didn’t changed his old habits and got one more cup, the Turkish “President’s cup” against defending champions Galatasaray. The final score was 64-62 in favor of Fener with Emir Preldzic making the winning shot and being also the top scorer of the winners with 14 points. Linas Kleiza added 11 points and Luca Zoric had 12. For Galatasaray Jamont Gordon had 16 points and 9 rebounds.
As Obradovic said after the game: “This is a very good night, both teams gave a fight. Emotionally it was an important match. We also had a great basketball atmosphere. Congratulations to our opponents because they were very good competitors. I would also like to thank the fans. I think we’re all happy for our club”.
