The first gameday of HEBA is in the books, as Olympiacos beat Panathinaikos 55-45 in a game which was played without fans due to last season’s incidents in the last final. Matt Lojeski (photo) just with 14 points was the top scorer of the winners, Dimitris Diamantidis had 16, the game was ugly and the two teams still out of synch. In an interesting footnote, Panathinaikos used Roko Ukic who was supposed to miss at least one more month of action and he will probably be used in the upcoming Euroleague premier. Despite the win Olympiacos is the last team in the league standings, because the Reds were punished not only to play without fans, but also with a -2 points penalty for this season and now they have zero points, while even the teams with a 0-1 record are awarded with one point.
