A win with “Character Baskonia”

What Laboral Kutxa couldn’t do last week against Panathinaikos, was accomplished this time in Vilnius against the team that has beaten Panathinaikos in the first game of the season. The “Basques” have character and that was obvious in their 85-64 win against Lietuvos Rytas with Andres Nocioni leading the way.

The Argentinian forward had 19 points and 9 rebounds in a roster of just 9 players. San Emetario, Heurtel and Causeur couldn’t be used due to injuries, but Rytas couldn’t take advantage of that. Omar Cook with 13 points and 10 assists did the best he could for the hosts, however after a close first half (45-41 for Laboral Kutxa) couldn’t keep up until the end.
