There are four more games left but Thursday can be considered the frantic finish of Euroleague’s regular season. Olympiacos and Real Madrid stayed perfect with a 10-0 record, Unicaja Malaga thanks to a big shot on the buzzer by Granger got the 64-62 win over Siena and the Top16 ticket, as also did Partizan thanks to the win of Fenerbahce/ Ulker against Nanterre and Anadolu Efes thanks to the triumph of Zalgiris against Brose Baskets. Because of the schedule, both teams knew by half time that with a win of Brose Baskets they would both qualify to Top16, as Real had already prevailed over Anadolu Efes, but the Lithuanians saved the Turks. Also FC Bayern thanks to Unicaja got also the Top16 ticket.
So at this point all the Top16 tickets have been decided and the only question is what will be the final standings of Group D as Lokomotiv and Laboral Kutxa will have the chance to pick their future opponents.
So far Group E includes Olympiacos, Fenerbahce/ Ulker, Barcelona, Unicaja, Ea7 Milano, Anadolu Efes and two of Lokobasket, Panathinaikos and Laboral Kutxa. Group F consists of Real Madrid, Maccabi Tel Aviv, CSKA Moscow, Galatasaray, Zalgiris, Partizan, Bayern Munich and one of the group D trio.
