It was a tough weekend in BBL for Bayern Munich and Brose Baskets, but the top contenders and the defending champions got two close road wins and are still leading the standings in the German top league after 18 games.

The top spot belongs to Bayern, which needed overtime in order to beat Mitteldeutscher (97-90) and get a 16-2 record. Brose Baskets’ win was even closer, just by a point (69-68) over Bayreuth as the champs have the second place with a 15-3 record. Alba Berlin is third (14-4) after beating Tubingen (106-87) and the other results of the 18th gameday are the following: s.Oliver Baskets – Telekom Baskets Bonn 72-81, Ludwigsburg – Rasta Vechta 86-72, Artland Dragons – Fraport Skyliners 83-77, Braunschweig – Phoenix Hagen 81-85, EWE Baskets Oldenburg – Ratiopharm Ulm 76-62, Trier – Bremerhaven 77-89.
