The first leg of the first Eurocup semifinal match up ended with the hosts of the game getting the win. Valencia prevailed over Nizhy Novgorod and got a respectable points difference (84-75), which can be a factor for the ticket to the Eurocup finals.

The Russians not only have to win at home, but also do it by 10 or more points. Montenegrin forward Bojan Dubljevic who was drafted in the second round by Minnesota Timberwolves last year was the top scorer for the winners with 24 points, followed by Spanish guard Pau Ribas who had 17. American swingman Dijon Thompson had 25 points for the guests.
