The last two games of CSKA Moscow before Euroleague’s Final Four ended with Lokomotiv Kuban getting two road wins for the play offs of VTB league in their quarterfinal stage. On Saturday the score was 81-66 for the quests who now have a 2-0 lead.
The series will continue after the Final Four where it’s still unclear if Aaron Jackson will be available after missing the second game against Lokomotiv. Marcus Williams with 24 points on 4/6 threes once more destroyed the “Army team” which got 16 points by Sonny Weems. The game was decided in the third quarter, during which the partial score was 27-11 in favor of Lokomotiv.
Coach Ettore Messina’s dissapointment was evident: “That showed again that we are not reliable and to my regret I could not change it in this two years here. And I am not sure if I can change it in the next four days before we go to the Final Four. We will come to the gym again, we will talk, we will try but you cannot change the human nature”.
